Child and Family Development Advisory Board

Mission

Missouri State University-West Plains empowers students to achieve personal success and to enrich their local and global communities. As a two-year public institution, we provide accessible, affordable, and quality educational opportunities.

Purpose

The Advisory Board for Child and Family Development (CFD) Programs provides recommendations to the University with regard to maintaining, building and strengthening the programs offered in this area. The ever-changing requirement of the academic disciplines, community and society will play a strong role in determining these recommendations.

Frequency

The Advisory Board for Child and Family Development Programs shall meet on an annual basis unless special circumstances require additional meetings.

Membership

The Advisory Board for Child and Family Development Programs consists of a cross-section of members from the business and academic communities in an effort to reflect the needs of the area. Board members will be encouraged to share current and anticipated needs and trends in order to provide meaningful input for the purpose of developing the strongest possible programs from both academic and practical perspectives.

CFD intern and 3 students to be named annually.
