Who knew that college life had SNOW DAYS! Thank goodness for the weather hotline. The snow not only gives me a chance to stare out into the beautiful day but also it gives me a day to reflect on a new semester. We're only three weeks into it and I can already tell a world of difference in the student that I am.

During your first semester, you can feel so disorganized and lost being on a new campus. But you come back knowing how you want to deal with the craziness that has become your life on campus. You feel much more confident in your life and that equals more fun. You also know what teachers you want to take again, where you can go to study between classes, and the fun things to do in your spare time. All of these things lead to a less stressed semester with more time for the lifelong friends that you are making during your college experience.

For the prospective students out there, do not worry. I know that you may feel lost, not knowing where to go or what do once you get there, but it will be fine. Even though your first semester may seem very challenging I can promise you from experience that you will do great if you stick to it. Plus, if you attend Missouri State University- West Plains I'll be here to help you.
