A new tradition began this past Saturday; Students versus faculty and staff softball! The Student Alumni Association (SAA) put on the event and hopes to continue it. Nick Pruitt is the founder of this game, and helped the students put a 19-6 whipping on the faculty and staff! Usually the students always take a pounding in these type of games, but not this time. We started out with five runs in the first and never looked back. Our team consisted of basketball players, cheer team members, and member of many of the university clubs.
The faculty and staff put on a good show, and we want to be sure to thank them for all volunteering to play. It was a great campus event. There was a home run derby afterwards, which was a great experience, too. We want to be sure to thank SAA for the event and hope they keep the tradition going. Maybe next time we will see you there.
