Enroll through Missouri State University-West Plains and earn 30 college credit hours towards an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement (AAS in Law Enforcement) while completing the Law Enforcement Academy Training. Only students enrolled as degree-seeking students through the university are eligible to apply for federal financial aid!

Apply for University admission
Submit an application for admission and $15 application feeApply as a degree-seeking student (AAS in Law Enforcement). For an application, download one or apply online from our website at http://wp.missouristate.edu/admissions/application.htmor call the Admissions Office at (417) 255-7955.
Request official high school or GED and any college transcriptsContact high school and any previous colleges and request transcript be sent by mail from the school to the Missouri State-West Plains admissions office. GED graduates should request that an official copy of the GED scores be sent to the admissions office from the capital city of the state in which they tested. Transcript request forms are available in the admissions office or call for assistance.
Apply for Financial Aid
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)Apply as soon as possible for the Pell Grant and Stanford Loans. Be sure to list Missouri State-West Plains' school code (031060) on the FAFSA. Register for classes
Registration forms will be available and should be completed at the time of Academy interview.Students accepted to the Missouri Sheriffs' Training Academy will register for LWE 190-Basic Law Enforcement Academy l and LWE 130-Basic Jail Officer Academy I (first semester) and then LWE 191-Basic Law Enforcement Academy ll and LWE 131-Basic Jail Officer Academy II (second semester)

Please Note: Students registering through Missouri State University-West Plains, will be billed $5,250, split over two semesters: $2,625 first semester, $2,625 second semester. This includes the Missouri Sheriffs' Training Academy fee of $4,000, which is then paid by the University to the Missouri Sheriffs' Association.
