College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

Any student wishing to receive credit for one of the eligible courses.


College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests measure a student's mastery of college-level, introductory course content in a wide range of disciplines. Students meeting the credit-granting score of 50 will earn the credits and course exemptions for the related courses.

CLEP tests are available for the following courses: HST121, HST122, HST101, HST102, SOC150, PSY121, ECO155, ECO165, CFD15, MGT120, PLS101 and MTH135. Students meeting the credit-granting score of 50 on the foreign language tests will receive 6 hours of credit for SPN101 and SPN102, FRN101 and FRN102 or GRM101 and GRN102.

Computerized test takes 90 minutes to complete.

$92 total: $15 to Missouri State-West Plains; $77 to CLEP


On the date of the test you must bring the following items:

  • Missouri Driver's Licenses or Non-Driver ID
