Missouri State-West Plains Placement Exams

Audience:

The placement exams are for entering students to determine at which level they should begin taking courses in English and Mathematics.

Focus:

The placement exams consist of an English writing sample and a Mathematics placement exam. Students in a dual-credit program will need to contact the AACCESS office to make arrangements to take the Mathematics placement exam. Entering freshmen will take the COMPASS exam for Mathematics placement.

On the date of the test bring the following items:

  • Two number 2 pencils;
  • Missouri Driver's Licenses or Non-Driver ID and
  • If you wish, a calculator may be use for the Mathematics placement exam.
