Missouri State University-West Plains is the two-year, open-admission campus of the Missouri State University System.
West Plains is a city of 12,000 located approximately 100 miles southeast of Springfield in southern Missouri.
Approximately 2,000 students are enrolled in part-time or full-time studies.
Small Class Size
The average class size is 17.
Ninety-six percent of degree-seeking students receive some form of financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans and work-study programs) (2013-2014 academic year).
For the 2015-2016 academic year, in-state tuition and fees are $3880 for full-time enrollment (based on 15 credit-hours per semester at $119 per credit-hour plus required fees). Per credit-hour costs may differ for specialized courses, including online, nursing and respiratory therapy.
Missouri's A+ Scholarship Program provides funds to graduates of A+ designated high schools to cover the costs of tuition and common fees at participating two-year colleges and vocational programs. Mountain Grove Campus
The Associate of Arts in General Studies degree is offered at the extended campus in Mountain Grove.
Students can complete the entire Associate of Arts in General Studies degree online. Online courses, which offer convenience and flexibility, are available in other degree programs, as well.
