The Drago College Store is offering a charitable volunteer event with Rescuing Animals. Starting in September 2013, students, faculty, staff and community volunteers will have an opportunity to sign up for donating pet items or help with transporting animals for adoption. Volunteers will be eligible to win a $99.99 Skull Candy Crusher headphone and many other prizes. On October 3, 2013, we will have a tent set up. Campus community by donating pet supplies can receive a 20% discount coupon for general merchandise in the store. There will be different animal shelters that will have information on adopting a pet or signing up to volunteer with Rescuing Animals.
At 8:00 AM on October 3, the Drago College Store will open and the first 100 customers will receive a neon bracelet that they use for a 20% discount off Missouri State University-West Plains apparel and souvenir items purchased through November 3, 2013. Large discounts will be offered on t-shirts, sweatpants and hooded sweatshirts throughout the day on October 3.
October 3, 2013 National Student Day is a day to dedicated to celebrating and promoting social responsibility by college students. We are proud of our students and are taking the opportunity to recognize them.
Opportunity for students to win cool prizes from National Association of College Stores
Students can submit their story starting August 15, 2013 on how they give back to their community online at www.nationalstudentday.com. Stories will then be voted on by students across North America. The 10 most popular stories will win awards consisting of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 scholarships as well as other prizes.

National Student Day will be October 3rd and it is a day during which college stores, including the Drago College Store, honors student volunteerism and social responsibility through a variety of exciting events at participating stores.
