Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?

I was eligible to receive financial aid from the A+ program. Additionally, I was employed in West Plains and wanted to stay local.

How did the West Plains Campus help you accomplish your goals?

I was able to get two years of education for free and continue making money. Also, it gave me a great opportunity to explore different areas that interested me. After I received my degree, I transferred to Springfield where I majored in history.

Were you involved on campus during your time here?

I was vice president of the Student Government Association, a member of the Health Services Implementation Committee, and chairman of a campus political organization.

What are your fondest memories of your time at the West Plains Campus?

I was involved in so many different activities that truly shaped my philosophy on lifelong learning and public service. Missouri State University-West Plains fostered those attitudes.

How would you sum up your experience at Missouri State-West Plains?

It was great. I met some amazing people who are still among my best friends and got a fantastic education.

Do you have any advice for potential students?

Get your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completed early and apply for all the scholarships you can! Those student loans eventually come due.
