I wanted to stay close to home and save up money while in school. Missouri State - West Plains offered everything I wanted/needed in courses and had an exceptionally friendly and helpful faculty/staff. I had heard lots of great things about the university. They also accepted A+, which helped. One of the most important reasons was that I could get my bachelor's degree while staying in one place.

How did the West Plains Campus help you accomplish your goals?

I was able to get all the schooling I needed in order to graduate with my bachelor's in Elementary Education all in one place without transferring. Everything was offered through Missouri State University's Missouri State Outreach Program, which was immensely helpful in accomplishing my goal of becoming an educator!

Were you involved on campus during your time here?

I was involved in many things during my time at Missouri State - West Plains. A few of those were: Student Ambassador, SGA (Student Government Association), Welcome Week, Star Orientation, and Student-Missouri State Teachers Association (S-MSTA). I also loved watching the athletic events at the civic center!

What are your fondest memories of your time at the West Plains Campus?

Some of my fondest memories of my time at the West Plains campus involved Student Ambassador events, getting to know the professors, meeting new people, making life-time friends, and S-MSTA activities.

My experience at Missouri State - West Plains was challenging and excellent, all at the same time. I was challenged and pushed beyond what I thought was possible! The faculty and staff were outstanding, and I'll never forget all the people I met while attending college there.
