Classes are offered in the newly renovated Shannon Hall. Located at 401 East 17th St. in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Shannon Hall includes several classrooms, a computer classroom, a distance learning classroom, science lab, study areas, computer lab and library. Individual and group tutoring is also available. Earn an Associate of Arts in General Studies (AA)

Area residents can complete the AA degree at the Mountain Grove campus. The AA degree allows students to complete general education requirements for virtually any bachelor’s degree before transferring to a four-year college or University. Student also can take courses for career advancement or personal enrichment.

The schedule to the left outlines the courses that will be offered at Mountain Grove campus each fall and spring semester. In addition, various general education courses are offered in the summer. Students can take advantage of online courses through Missouri State University-West Plains.

Library Services

Barbe Library at Shannon Hall is a distribution point for the MOBIUS Lending System, which gives Shannon Hall students access to collections of more than 60 libraries in Missouri.

Financial Aid

Scholarships, grants, loans and work study programs are available. High school students eligible for A+ funding can use their benefits at the Mountain Grove campus of Missouri State University-West Plains.

Admissions

Missouri State University-West Plains is the open admission campus of the Missouri State University System. To be admitted, students should submit an application with a $15 application fee and request an official high school transcript or an official equivalency exam transcript from a state other than Missouri. Admissions can access Missouri equivalency exam scores.

Student Life

Students may participate in activities and organizations at the West Plains campus. An active Student Government Association (SGA) at Mountain Grove offers students leadership opportunities locally.
