Certificate in Advanced Welding & Fabrication Technology

Advanced Welding & Fabrication Technology (Cert)*

Certificate

The Certificate in Advanced Welding & Fabrication Technology provides students with a breadth of knowledge in structural fabrication and a depth of welding experience in four processes of welding technology; from manual welding with Introduction and Advanced Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), to semiautomatic welding with Introduction and Advanced Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), as well as Introduction Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). These concepts and processes are applied with automated and robotic arc welding by combining automated systems and robotics in digital fabrication with metals. While the Certificate in Advanced Welding & Fabrication Technology may be completed as a stand-alone program, courses in this certificate may also be used to complete the Associate of Applied Science in Technology-Advanced Welding & Fabrication option.
