Chancellor’s Message to Employees (Nov 18)

This email was sent November 18.

Message to Faculty and Staff:

As we enter the final weeks of the fall semester, I want to thank you for doing your part by following the COVID-19 safety precautions this semester and helping us limit the spread of the virus within our campus and our surrounding communities.

The Thanksgiving break is just around the corner and then our classes will continue in their current formats for the last week of classes and finals. We need to continue to be diligent, on campus and off campus, by wearing face coverings, washing our hands regularly and maintaining six feet of distance in interactions when possible.

We are also planning for the 2021 spring semester, which will be divided between two eight-week block sessions and will include online, blended and seated courses. We will move forward cautiously and make adjustments and changes if needed based on guidance from our local, state and national public health authorities. Our focus continues to be the health and safety of our community, and that will continue to guide our decision-making.

Let’s continue to do all that we can in the next four weeks to mitigate the virus so that we can finish the semester strong while protecting our family, friends and community.

Thanks again to each of you,

Dennis Lancaster
Interim Chancellor
