FREE COVID-19 BinaxNOW Antigen testing for symptomatic employees and students

The state of Missouri has provided Missouri State University-West Plains with Abbott BinaxNOW rapid antigen test kits to test symptomatic faculty, staff and students for COVID-19. It is believed rapid antigen (BinaxNOW, Abbott) tests may be instrumental in keeping institutions open and continuing to provide onsite education safely to as many students as possible. This testing will be conducted at Burton Creek Medical Clinic at 805 Kentucky St. in West Plains. This test will be at no charge to the individual.
 
To schedule and obtain a test, you must:

  1. Be symptomatic for COVID-19
  2. Call Burton Creek Medical Clinic at 417-257-6111
    1. Hours of operation are:
      1. Monday ā€“ Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
      2. Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
      3. Sunday 1 pm to 4 p.m.
  3. State that you are with Missouri State-West Plains and need the rapid BinaxNOW test.
  4. Provide the clinic with necessary personal information (i.e. name, date of birth, SSN, address, phone number, etc.)
  5. Present a valid university issued ID for proof of participation in this program
  6. Once registered, the clinic will then direct you to their covered parking area in the back of the clinic.
  7. You will need to sign a consent form and review the provided educational sheet before the test is administered.
  8. Results should be available in 15 minutes.
