Agriculture Club

Purpose:

The purpose of the Missouri State University-West Plains Agriculture Club is to provide opportunities for student members to develop the skills needed to enter and advance in careers in agriculture, agri-business, horticulture and natural resources. The Ag Club is affiliated with the National Post secondary Agriculture Student Organization and the Missouri Post secondary Agriculture Student Organization.

The 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 10am in Lybyer room 103.

Alpha Delta Nu (ADN)

Purpose:

Alpha Delta Nu is the official Nursing Student Honors Society of Missouri State University-West Plains.

Bears United

Purpose:

Bears United best serves students who plan on transferring to Missouri State University from Missouri State University-West Plains. Bears United will help students feel connected to both campuses through professional and personal development workshops, mentorship, and involvement with staff and faculty, they will enhance their transfer experience and create lasting connections to other students and help them become Citizen Scholars as they achieve their transfer Degrees and Graduate with Missouri State University.

Christian Campus House (CCH)

Purpose:

Our Mission:

Growing to make a difference on campus.

Christian Campus House of West Plains (CCH) is a student organization and an off-campus organization. We are located just down the road from Lybyer on the corner of West Main Street and Monk Street, behind the rock house with a sign in the front yard. CCH is open 9 AM-9 PM to relax & study.

Christian Campus House is a recognized student organization established to encourage and engage with students on the Missouri State University-West Plains campus. We are a campus ministry designed for students to continue their faith on a college campus. We have weekly group meetings held on/off campus, small groups, and various trips in and out of the country. Any Missouri State University-West Plains student can join the group. We are an inter-denominational ministry with students from Baptist, Methodist, Christian, and non-denominational churches. Community Behavioral Health Support Association (CBHS)

Purpose:

Community Behavioral Health Support Association (CBHS) is a student organization for community behavioral health support students and other human service professions. CBHS provides opportunities for developing leadership skills, professional relationships, educational opportunities, and updated information on behavioral health and substance use trends and issues.

The Game Changers

Purpose:

The student organization meets monthly and discusses ways that the students at Missouri State University can benefit the University and Communities we serve by offering their volunteer efforts. In addition to working with the community, this group of students regularly meets to enjoy a board game or other types of games to break the ice and get to know each other.

Grizzly Cheer Team

Purpose:

Grizzly Gaming Guild

Purpose:

The Grizzly Gaming Guild is a club that strives to create a place for students to learn and play various tabletop role-playing games. The Guild will mostly focus on Dungeons and Dragons, but all role-playing games are welcome.

HOPE

Purpose:

The purpose of HOPE is to increase awareness of mental health issues faced by students at Missouri State University-West Plains. We want to create a safe space for students to find positive support systems and educate students and community members on the symptoms of mental health and resources available by organizing events on campus that promote proactivity on combating mental health symptoms, identify additional needs of students, and advocate for services on campus. As well as facilitating conversation within the organization and outside of the organization that challenge myths, assumptions, and lack of awareness around mental health topics.

Meeting Times:

The HOPE group meets as designated by the executive officers at the beginning of each academic year. Currently meetings are being held every first and third Tuesday at 2:30pm in Hass Darr 101.

Purpose:

The MSU Art Club aims to foster a vibrant and inclusive artistic community where members can explore and express their creativity through a diverse range of mediums. Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform for artistic growth and enrichment, offering weekly opportunities for artistic practice and exploration. In addition to cultivating creativity, the club is committed to community engagement, providing regular volunteer opportunities to connect with and contribute to the local community. Through these activities, we seek to enrich both our members and the community, fostering a spirit of collaboration and artistic expression.

Missouri State-West Plains FFA Alumni and Supporters

Purpose:

Area Future Farmers of America (FFA) members who want to continue their affiliation with the agriculture education organization following high school graduation can do so through the MSU-West Plains alumni and supporters chapter at Missouri State University-West Plains.

The chapter was formed to serve as a support group for area high school FFA chapters

Phi Theta Kappa

Purpose:

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is an international honor society for two-year colleges. Students are invited to join when they have at least 12 hours towards an associate's degree and a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. As a member of PTK, student members will develop leadership skills, explore networking opportunities, and serve the university and the regional community. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or above are also welcome to contact the faculty advisor for membership consideration.

Purpose:

The purpose and goals of the Student Government Association shall be to provide reasonable and coherent policies, leadership, and unity for the Missouri State University-West Plains student body. This organization shall also create and act as a medium between the students, faculty and administration of the campus.

Student Missouri State Teachers Association (Student MSTA)

Purpose:

Student MSTA is the pre-professional organization for education majors on Missouri college and university campuses. Members have opportunities for: Personal and professional growth Development of leadership skills Participation in professional development at local and state levels The Missouri State University – West Plains Chapter of Student MSTA provides liability insurance free of charge, which is required for students who are completing practicum hours in the public-school setting.
