November 17 - 20, 2025, raising awareness about the importance of geographic education and literacy, highlighting how geography helps address global challenges.
Geography Awareness Week was established by a U.S. presidential proclamation in 1987, with support from the National Geographic Society, to encourage a broader study and appreciation of geography.
