Associate's Degrees

Evening College provides a path for students who are unable to attend classes until after 4:00 PM to complete one of four associate degrees:

  • Associate of Applied Science in Child and Family Development
  • Associate of Arts in General Studies
  • Associate of Science in Business

Classes for these degrees are available in an evening schedule (coupled with some online courses) that allows students to complete the degrees within four to eight semesters, provided they commit to the required hours each semester.

Bachelor's Degrees

Complete an associate of arts or associate of science degree, in the evening, through Missouri State University-West Plains and transfer to Missouri State University-Springfield to complete your bachelor's degree!

Missouri State Outreach, housed in Gohn Hall on the West Plains campus, represents the Springfield campus and can assist you with your transfer.

For example, complete your associate of arts in general studies (AA) or associate of arts in teaching (AAT) and transfer into the bachelor's program in elementary education. Complete your associate of science in business degree in business and transfer into the bachelor's in general business online. If you are a child and family development student, you may complete your bachelor's degree in child and family development all on the West Plains campus.

Sample degree completion plans may be found online within Missouri State University-Springfield's Transfer Center.

Classes are offered through a combination of online, on-site and interactive television. In addition, Missouri State Online offers a host of online degree completion programs you may also consider.
