Theater and Events

The theater and events department provides educational and cultural programming for the University and community. Programming may include visual and performing arts, concerts, workshops, films and lectures.

Most Theater and Events shows are free to current Missouri State University-West Plains students who have a valid BearPass ID and have paid the activity fee.

  • 21st Annual Musical Salute to Veterans

    The annual “Musical Salute to Veterans” program is set for 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the West Plains Civic Center. The West Plains R-7 Concert Band will perform a variety of patriotic music.

  • The Ant and the Grasshopper

    Preparations for winter are underway, and no one is working harder than the ant family. When a zany, unproductive grasshopper arrives, he provides a welcome distraction for Little Ant, who finds work dull and repetitive.

  • Frederick Winters Hypnotist

    Frederick Winters is a legendary hypnotist and a “tradition” at hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide and has performed for over 3,000 college shows including his alma mater, Northwestern University!
