Theater and Events

The theater and events department provides educational and cultural programming for the University and community. Programming may include visual and performing arts, concerts, workshops, films and lectures.

Most Theater and Events shows are free to current Missouri State University-West Plains students who have a valid BearPass ID and have paid the activity fee.

  • Art Around Town

    The 20th annual Art Around Town exhibit features two- and three-dimensional artwork created by kindergarten through eighth grade students in the region. Eleven schools are participating this year. April 5, 2:30 PM Awards and Reception @ WPCC Mezzanine

  • Joe & Nick's VCR Party

    Join comedians Joe Pickett (The Onion) and Nick Prueher (Late Show) in a hilarious guided tour through their unbelievable VHS collection.

  • Polka Dots: The Cool Kids Musical

    The “Squares Only” town of Rockaway turns upside down when Lily Polkadot arrives. As the first Polkadot in an all Square school, Lily faces an almost impossible task of gaining acceptance from her peers.

  • "Harriett"

    The incredible true story of Harriet Tubman, and her quest to lead hundreds of slaves to freedom on the Underground Railroad.
