Purpose
The Computer Science/Information Technology Advisory Board provides recommendations
to the University with regard to maintaining, building and strengthening the programs
offered in this area. In particular, areas such as curriculum, equipment, institutional
technology, market demand and resources will be addressed. The ever-changing requirements
of the academic disciplines, community and society will play a strong role in determining
these recommendations.
Frequency
The Computer Science/Information Technology Advisory Board shall meet on a annual
basis unless special circumstances require additional meetings.
Terms
The term of service will consist of one three-year term. Members may be reappointed
for subsequent terms.
Membership
The Computer Science/Information Technology Advisory Board consists of a cross-section
of members from the business and academic communities in an effort to reflect the
needs of the area. Board members will be encouraged to share current and anticipated
needs and trends in order to provide meaningful input for the purpose of developing
the strongest possible programs from both academic and practical perspectives.
Faculty Coordinator
The Faculty Coordinator is responsible for scheduling meetings, establishing the agenda
and maintaining meeting minutes.
