The following message was sent by the chancellor's office to the Missouri State-West Plains campus community on March 13, 2020 at 11:58 a.m.
While classes have been canceled today (March 13), the Missouri State-West Plains campus is open and operational if students need to come to the campus for services or appointments.
The current plan is for the campus to remain open during Spring Break as well. We are continuing to assess whether we should temporarily move away from in-person delivery of classes after Spring Break and will provide an updated status no later than Thursday, March 19.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue monitoring COVID-19 and work to keep our campus community safe with as little disruption as possible. Our priority is the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff, and that will guide our decisions as we move forward.
Shirley A. Lawler
Chancellor, Missouri State-West Plains
