The two-year, open-admission campus within the Missouri State University System. The campus offers associate degrees and hosts bachelor's and master's degree programs from the Missouri State University System. It is also independently accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Student enrollment is approximately 2,200.

The campus is located in West Plains, Missouri, which is situated in south central Missouri on US Highway 63. The largest city within one hundred miles radius, West Plains is the trade and tourist center of south central Missouri, with a population of more than 10,000. In 1993 and 1996, West Plains received recognition as one of "The 100 Best Small Towns in America," by Norman Crampton, a nation-wide guide to the best small town living.
