"My experience at MSU-WP has been incredible and lovely! The staff is super sweet and understanding."

Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?  Illinois is expensive and hard to find a college with a criminology major, so I found this place and decided to come here.

How would you describe your experience here?  It’s been incredible and lovely! The staff is super sweet and understanding.

What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?  Working on campus in web and media services. Being involved in creating video pieces for the campus has been a great opportunity.

What has been your favorite course, and why?  Surprisingly, public speaking. I have anxiety, but this course helped me overcome it.

How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?  Oh my, they have been amazing! Lauren Willis (case manager/counselor) has helped me mentally and physically, and Kris Brinkerhoff (web and media services specialist) has been great. He’s taught me a lot of useful skills.

How did you choose your major?  My dream goal is to become an agent, more specifically work in the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI). I like the mind a lot, so I chose criminology instead of criminal justice.

What are your plans after graduation?  I’m not 100% sure where I’m heading, but I’m going to get my bachelor’s. After I finish college, I’m going to get two years of work experience then apply to the FBI academy. If I get accepted, I’ll start my journey of becoming a BAU agent.
