What type of degree will I earn at Missouri State University-West Plains?

Students enrolled in Entrepreneurship will obtain a two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. Study areas include a general education component, entrepreneurial core courses and an electives component that allows students to select courses that will pertain directly to their type of business. Two certificate programs are available, as well. The entrepreneurship certificate and the small business development certificate both focus on developing practical skills.

In 2000 there were approximately 6,300 full-time entrepreneurs and 5,200 part-time entrepreneurs in the West Plains Area region, which includes Howell, Wright, Douglas, Ozark, Shannon, Texas and Oregon counties. The average income for full-time entrepreneurs in the region is $22,771 (income from self employment) and $26,207 (all income sources). The average income for part-time entrepreneurs is $2,328 (income from self employment) and $28,664 (all income sources).
