Register to Attend

The 2017 Annual Meeting of the West Lakes Division (WLAAG) will take place in West Plains, Missouri October 19-21, 2017. Advanced registration opened August 15, 2017.

To participate in the annual meeting, all attendees must pay the appropriate registration fee. You will not be able to submit an abstract for presentation if you are not registered for the meeting. All advanced registration fee may be paid online.

The registration fee for 2017 WLAAG Annual Meeting is:

Faculty and professionals $ 130
Students $ 80
Guests (does not include conference material) $ 60
Field Trip(s) on October 21 (includes lunch box) $ 20
Pre-Conference Field Trip to Branson $ 35

The registration fee includes access to: pre-conference refreshments, sessions and events, including keynote lunch and dinner sessions and refreshments all day. Field trips are offered at an additional charge.

American Association of Geographers (AAG) Council Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Paper at a Regional Meeting

The new AAG Council Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Paper is designed to incentivize participation by graduate students at fall regional meetings of the American Association of Geographers and to support graduate student participation at the springtime AAG Annual Meeting. Each Awardee (up to one graduate student per AAG division) will receive $1,000 in funding from the AAG to be used toward registration and travel costs to attend the AAG Annual Meeting.

Insurance

The fees for the annual meeting do not include any provisions for the insurance of participants against personal injury, sickness, theft or property damage. This also applies to any event during the annual meeting. Participants and accompanying persons are advised to arrange for any insurance they consider necessary. Neither the WLAAG, the organizing committee nor the agencies or partners involved in the organization of the annual meeting assume any responsibility for loss, injury or damage to persons or belongings, whatever the cause may be.
