The nursing program here was so phenomenal.

Future Plans: To earn my Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Development. I am currently a teachers aid at the Learning Tree in West Plains, I want to work my way up the occupational ladder to a Psychologist.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

Missouri State-West Plains is close to home, affordable,it has friendly staff and students , it is a very clean campus, there is cheerleading and it has good community support.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I didn't realize how much more mature all the students are here. Everyone is friendly, drama-free, and want each other to succeed. Also, all the teachers and coaches truly want you to succeed and to get your degree.

Did you Know? Doing dual-enrollment, I didn't really get much time on campus at first. Then, I started really getting involved in campus life and I honestly can't express to you enough how much of a blessing this program, cheerleading, and friends are; it makes college much more fun and enjoyable.

Future Plans: To gain my Associate's degree in Business at Missouri State-West Plains then transfer to Missouri State-Springfield to double major in Interior Design and Architecture. I hope to one day own a design firm and house-flipping business.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

I chose Missouri State-West Plains becasue they had an amazing business program and they also accepted my A+. The town, staff, and people here are also so friendly.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I did not know that there was such an amazing tutoring program that is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on most days.

Did you Know? All of my credits from Missouri State-West Plains will automatically transfer to Missouri State-Springfield!

I didn't realize that such a small campus had so many opportunities to help you get involved and succeed.

Tips to prospective students: Utilize your resources! Tutoring, office hours, advisors and the library are all great things here to help you succeed!

There are very friendly and helpful people. This University also has a small-town feeling, like home.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I didn't know that they had another campus in China.

Did you Know? I was very nervous about moving away but the friendly people made me feel at home.

I didn't know that the college offered all the different programs that it does.

Missouri State-West Plains was in my hometown wich allowed me to stay at home and this school also took my A+.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I didn't know that the civic center was free to use as a privilege of being a student at Missouri State University-West Plains.

Tips for prospective students: If you did not build in a break for lunch, bring your lunch to class. You will get hungry!

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I did not know about all of the different study away programs that the campus offers.

Tips to prospective students: Make friends in all of your classes. Do not be afraid to ask for help!

I chose Missouri State-West Plains because it is one out of four colleges in the state of Missouri that has the A+ program that also has dorms.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I was unfamiliar with the interesting history of the campus. For example, the Bell Tower.

The diverse student body and ability to learn about so many different cultural backgrounds.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

I chose Missouri State University-West Plains, because I wanted the full college experience. I fell in love with the campus on my private tour! West Plains has so much to offer and I'm glad I chose Missouri State-West Plains.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

One thing I didn't know was that Missouri State-West Plains has free tutoring services. I also didn't know Missouri State-West Plains has access to four-year degree programs.

Tips to prospective students: Use the tutoring programs they are super helpful! Attend Welcome Week, I met my bestfriends there.

Did you Know? My two years of college are covered here because I earned my A+ scholarship, where it wouldn't be at a four-year college.

Future Plans: I will be graduating with my Associate's in Business with an emphasis in Management in December of 2017. From here I will be using Missouri State Outreach to fulfill a Bachelor's degree in General Business.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

I chose Missouri State-West Plains initially because it was close to home and I was an A+ scholarship recipient. From there I continued to choose Missouri State-West Plains because I genuinely love the campus and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here because of the friendly environment and quality education.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I did not realize just how much was available to students such as Grizzly Athletic Events, theater events, an Olympic-sized pool and an athletic fitness center. A plus to this is that all of these events come with being a student for free!

Tips to prospective students: Get involved on campus is a must. Making friends and going to the University-ead activities and events will make your college experience that much better. Just last semester I was able to go to Washington D.C. with a group of students and the coordinator of student life and development and I had an absolute blast.

Almost every business in town gives a student discount to anyone with a Missouri State-West Plains photo ID.

Tips for prospective students: Take advantage of all University events! They're free and a great way to meet people!

The amount of opportunities and connections that are available here at Missouri State-West Plains. There is endless opportunities to get involved.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I did not know how involving and helpful the faculty and staff are here on campus. The University generally cares and wants the best for each student.

Tips for prospective students: Fill out as many scholarships as you can!

Did you Know? I work in the office of student life and development and resident life, I am a resident assistant for the resident halls.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I did not know about all the free tutoring that is offered.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

When I was in high school my counselor named off schools to send my ACT scores to, when she mentioned Missouri State-West Plains and the China Program, I knew I wanted to go here! Then, when I saw campus, met the staff and ambassadors on my Red Carpet Day, I was sold!

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

Before I came to Missouri State-West Plains I had no idea how prominent the sense of community and family is here on campus!

Did you Know? When I came to Missouri State-West Plains I planned to stay a single year for the China Program, then leave. But here I am an ambassador, a resident assistant, an honors student and the president of Future Alumni Organization. My love for this school was brought on by my involvement, so get involved! Don't knock it till you try it!

Future Plans: To graduate from Missouri State-West Plains with an Associate of Science in Agriculture, then transfer to Missouri State-Springfield to earn a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business with an emphasis in Sales.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

I chose Missouri State University-West Plains because after touring several other schools I felt that I was most comfortable and had a sense of "being at home" when I toured this campus. The school offered all the classes and the degree that I would find in a large school, but in a small scale campus which helped me feel more comfortable and less overwhelmed.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I didn't know that Missouri State University-West Plains has access to bachelor's degree programs on campus.

Tips to prospective students: The best advice I could give would be to get involved and make the most of time here. Get to know your roommate and your suit mates, there is so much to learn from them and you might meet a lifelong friend. Get to know the professors they have a lot of knowledge to share that can help you.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

I chose Missouri State-West Plains because the A+ Program and it is close to home. Most of my teachers that I am close to back home also went here for college.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

There was campus housing for anyone, not just the athletes. I also didn't know how many buildings there were for this school.

Tips to prospective students: It is very doable to have a job and be a full-time student. Make friends in your classes, homework is easier with multiple people.

Did you know? I will earn my degree here without transferring. I do not live on campus, but I have friends that do and they love it. Spend time there.

Missouri State-West Plains is close to home and I felt that I was able to have more one on one time with teachers. The cheerleading program was another reason I chose Missouri State-West Plains.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

Before becoming a student at Missouri State-West Plains I didn't know they offered free tutoring.

Tips to prospective students: Welcome Week to me is a must!

Did you Know? My credits will transfer to my four-year college. I am also on the Grizzly Cheer Team, I made all of my friends by being involved on campus and through Welcome Week.

I chose Missouri State-West PlainsP for a couple reasons, I wanted a change of area and get away from a big city. I also wanted to go far enough away from home, but not too far.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I didn't know about the endless possibilities that they had to offer. I didn't know that depending on what I would go to school for I could stay here and get higher education.

Tips to prospective students: The biggest tip I can give is to be involved. Most of the time people who aren't involved don't have good college experiences. Also, use all of your resources, they are there to help you.

Future Plans: To obtain my general studies degree. I then would like to pursue the medical field, I am looking towards becoming a flight medic after being on ground for two years as a paramedic.

Why I choose Missouri State-West Plains:

This campus is just the right size and close to home. I have never heard anything bad about the campus and the experiences I had while visiting always made me feel like this is where I belong.

What I didn't know about Missouri State-West Plains before becoming a student:

I did not realize all of the student services that are available to students to help make them succeed. I also did not know anything about the bell tower and the story behind it.

Tips to prospective students: Always make friends with everyone living on and off campus, utilize the tutoring services, and get involved in the campus life.
