The West Plains Civic Center is a popular facility for everything from concerts to circuses and stage shows to athletic events. The center is the home of Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzlies and has performances from Confederate Railroad, Sawyer Brown, Foreigner, Martina McBride, Bellamy Brothers, Porter Wagoner and Jason Aldean.

Outdoors

The Ozarks has a wealth of history and culture, unique to the region. The region possesses many natural features with rivers and springs emerging from the karst topography. The Ozark National Scenic Riverways is one of the many features. Two of America's clearest and most beautiful spring-fed rivers make up the Ozark National Scenic Riverways.

Points of Interest

West Plains with its Ozark Heritage have many area attractions, events and services. The Ozarks Medical Center is a 114-bed not-for-profit health care system. The James P. Harlin Memorial Museum, built in 1889 and has been preserved, along with period furniture as a monument to the era. The Old-Time Music, Ozark Heritage Festival held the 3rd weekend in June celebrates old time music and the unique culture of the Ozarks Highlands. City Parks and Walking Trails provide scenic views throughout the entire city.
