Announcements:

  • Phil Howerton's book of poetry, The History of Tree Roots, Blazing Sapphire Press, 2015, is available on Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com. See Phil for more information.
  • Missouri State University-West Plains rings bells on Wednesday, December 9 at Wal-Mart. This is open to all faculty, staff and students, who may sign-up in the main offices in Melton and Lybyer. The bell-ringing is divided into intervals of 1/2 hour.
  • Faculty are asked to drop off at Cass Hall a Christmas dessert by 10:00 am on Wed. Dec. 16 in honor of Staff Appreciation. If needed, desserts can be given to Jerry Trick the day before. 
  • Submit library book orders by December 17. Every Division has library-budgeted money that can be spent on books for Garnett Library. Select titles that support your class assignments and promote student success! Submit your requests at the library or email them to Sylvia at SKuhlmeier@MissouriState.edu.
  • Upcoming Friends of the Garnett Library Programs – December 11, Noon to 1 p.m. Local author Robert H. Williams will discuss his book, Billy's War. Please RSVP by Tuesday, December 8. Optional lunch, cost is $10. Mark your calendars for January 8, Noon to 1 PM when Tresa Ryan will speak on the Health Information Technology program.

  • Per Course faculty should be receiving two free passes to University sponsored community events with their contracts.
