Magic Cobbler

Fruit Filling:

  • 1 can or 2 cups of peaches
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • Heat fruit and sugar together until sugar dissolves.

Batter:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup of butter or margarine

Mix together and pour into buttered pan. Pour fruit over batter. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

You may add a crumb topping if you like. I just used a mix that is an oatmeal crumb topping.
