Tuition assistance
For information on the different Tuition Assistance programs, please visit Tuition Assistance. We ask that all eligible students talk with their Unit Education Office or POC to ensure all requirements have been met as they apply for this benefit. We also encourage all students to talk with our Director, Mr. Mark White by calling 417-255-7720 and/or emailing WPVeteranServices@MissouriState.edu.
*In most cases TA requests must be submitted to your respective military branch and approved before the start date of the class(es).
Tuition Assistance Program Information
Students planning to use any form of tuition assistance, whether through the state of Missouri or the Department of Defense, should always verify eligibility requirements with their branch of service. We ask that each student work with their branch specific education center or base POC, to review requirements for each of these programs. The MSU-West Plains Veteran Center is also available to assist you, please contact our office at WPVeteranServices@MissouriState.edu and/or 417-255-7720.
Missouri National Guard (Air/Army) State Tuition Assistance
Service members planning to utilize State Tuition Assistance, should follow the link above to secure their benefit in a timely manner. Please contact the MSU-West Plains Veteran Center for assistance in processing this information at WPVeteranServices@missouristate.edu and/or 417-255-7720.
Active Duty Air Force and Reservists may be ELIGIBLE for tuition assistance. We encourage students under these programs to work directly with their unit education POC, and the MSU-West Plains Veteran Center office to ensure timely processing of this benefit. Please contact the MSU-West Plains Veteran Center at WPVeteranServices@MissouriState.edu and/or 417-255-7720.
Active Duty Army, Reservists, and MO Army National Guard may be ELIGIBLE to use Federal Tuition Assistance. We encourage students under these programs to work directly with their unit education POC. We also encourage you to contact the MSU-West Plains Veteran Center office at WPVeteranServices@MissouriState.edu and/or 417-255-7720 for additional assistance with this process.
Coast Guard Tuition Assistance
Active Duty Coast Guard and Reservists in AD status may be ELIGIBLE for tuition assistance. We encourage students under these programs to work directly with their unit education POC, and the MSU-West Plains Veteran Center office to ensure timely processing of this benefit. Marine Corps Tuition Assistance
Active Duty Marines may be ELIGIBLE for tuition assistance. Students should work with their unit education POC, and Missouri State Veterans Services to ensure all necessary steps are followed.
