The Smith-London Bell Tower was donated in 2005 by the Smith family of West Plains in honor of the London and Smith families who have served the community in a variety of capacities. Known as the campus “love story”, Bruce Smith contacted campus officials about the structure in honor of his wife, former Board of Governor member Allison Smith. Shortly after plans began, Mr. Smith passed away. His sons continued his work and the Bell Tower is a constant reminder of a husband’s love for his wife. Students and community members can hear the bell tower every quarter hour with special music spanning throughout the seasons
