Contact your advisor
All degree-seeking students (with exceptions as noted below) are required to contact their advisor each semester in order to ensure progress towards a timely graduation and to obtain the
Advisor Release/Alt PIN that is necessary for registration. The Advisor Release/Alt
PIN is necessary for initial registration each semester. Alt PINs are removed from a student's account the night following initial registration.
Students will not be prompted for an Alt PIN for future registration activity during
that semester. Advisors have set aside additional time during Advisement for Success Kick-off (ASK) Week, specifically for student convenience. Students may contact their advisor by phone,
by BearPass Email or by making an office visit.
Exceptions:
- Degree-seeking first-time freshmen are required to attend Student Advisement and Registration (STAR) and meet with an
advisor.
- Dual-Credit students are required to meet with the coordinator of admissions.
Review your registration status
The University recommends that students check their registration status prior to registration
to determine if there are any hold restrictions on their account. Students can view
their registration status and holds in My Grizzly Den.
- Use your BearPass Login and Password to sign into the system.
- Find the Registration card.
- From the Registration card, click on Registration Status.
Any holds should be settled prior to registration by contacting the appropriate office.
Register for classes
Students may web register through My Grizzly Den at any time except when system maintenance occurs each week from Friday midnight
to Saturday 2:00 AM. See the instructions for web registration for more information.
Students also may register in the office of registration and records in Cass Hall,
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Students are encouraged to register at
the appointed time, but may register any time following their scheduled period of
time.
Note: The Advisor Release/Alt PIN is necessary for initial registration. Alt PINs
are removed from a student's account the night following initial registration. Students
will not be prompted for an Alt Pin for future registration activity during that semester.
* Completed hours include transfer and institution hours, but does not include in-progress
hours.
If a class section closes, you may monitor the Show Closed/Canceled Class Sections from My Grizzly Den for a list of closed or canceled classes. If the course is no longer listed as closed,
additional registrations are being accepted for that class section.
